Virginia Tech women's basketball and Megan Duffy received a commitment on Wednesday from Dani Robinson, she announced on Instagram.
The 5-foot-10 guard hails from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., just east of Los Angeles. She's the No. 36 recruit in the 2027 class, per ESPN.
Robinson chose the Hokies over the likes of Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Oregon, SMU, Stanford, Syracuse, Texas A&M and Washington State.
She began her high school career at Etiwanda, formerly MaxPreps' No. 1 team in the country, where she was part of a state championship in 2024 as a true freshman. After transferring to Ontario Christian, she led the Knights to a state title this year while averaging 16.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.9 steals per game.
Robinson is one of three highly-touted recruits from Ontario Christian, alongside Kaleena Smith, ESPN's No. 1 player in the 2027 class, and Chloe Jenkins, the No. 2 talent in the 2029 class.
She's the Hokies' second pledge in the 2027 class, joining Lillie Graves (6-1, G/F), a native of Lafayette, Ind., who is ESPN's No. 55 prospect. Duffy & Co. are now up to six top-100 commits.
Since ESPN started its rankings in 2011, Robinson is Tech's fifth top-50 pledge, joining the likes of Kelly Koshuta (2015), Aisha Sheppard (2017), Elizabeth Kitley (2019) and Carleigh Wenzel (2022).
