Virginia Tech and James Franklin added a commitment from Dylan Latell on Tuesday afternoon. Greg Smith of Rivals first reported the news.
An offensive lineman from Ohio, he picked the Hokies over Cincinnati, Indiana, Minnesota and Pitt, the other schools in his top group. He officially visited Blacksburg in May.
He's a three-star prospect by On3 and 247Sports, which list him between No. 29 and No. 49 in Ohio and between No. 54 and No. 94 among offensive tackles in the 2027 class.
Latell also held Power Four offers from Arkansas, Boston College, Duke, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota and North Carolina, along with a slew of Ivy League schools.
A multi-sport athlete who also excels at basketball and baseball, he lined up at both offensive tackle and defensive tackle as a junior.
Latell is Tech's 19th commitment in the 2027 class and the third offensive lineman.
