Virginia Tech and Megan Duffy picked up their second commitment of the offseason on Saturday from Tennessee's Lauren Hurst.

She announced her decision after a recent visit to Blacksburg. Clemson, Iowa, Oklahoma and TCU were other schools in contention, according to 247Sports.

The Cleveland, Tenn., native averaged 2.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per game this season as a freshman with the Lady Vols (16-14, 8-8 SEC). She averaged 10 minutes per game and played in 24 contests while making one start against Texas A&M.

Hurst only had one double-figure outing, which was a 16-point performance on 4-for-5 3-point shooting at Ole Miss on Feb. 17. She also grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in that game. On the year, she was 12-for-29 (41.4%) from behind the arc and 21-for-43 (48.8%) from the floor.

Virginia Tech was one of Hurst's final options out of high school, along with Tennessee, Clemson, NC State and North Carolina. She was a highly-touted prospect whom ESPN ranked No. 45 in its 2025 recruiting class. She averaged 17.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a senior at Cleveland High School.

On top of being the highest-ranked basketball recruit in the state, she was also a three-time Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year in volleyball who won two state championships and set Tennessee's record for kills (2,607).

Hurst is the second Tennessee player to commit to the Hokies this offseason, joining Alyssa Latham.
