Virginia Tech and James Franklin picked up a commitment from defensive lineman Brock Frisby on Friday. He's the second commit in the Hokies' 2027 class, joining Alexander Taylor.

Frisby plays at Archbishop Spalding, a powerhouse in Maryland that has won four consecutive MIAA championships, and was an all-conference pick last fall.
He has reported offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Nebraska, Rutgers, Syracuse, Wake Forest and West Virginia, along with USF, James Madison, Coastal Carolina, Liberty and UConn.
Frisby does not have a star ranking on On3, while he's a three-star prospect by 247Sports. Its composite rankings list him as the No. 18 player in Maryland and the No. 746 player in the country.
He's the Hokies' first pickup from Archbishop Spalding since Mansoor Delane in the 2022 class.
