Virginia Tech and James Franklin added some size up front in the form of Michigan State offensive tackle Justin Bell, who announced his commitment on Monday.

A product of Macomb Township, Mich., he did not play as a true freshman for the Spartans and redshirted. When the transfer portal opened, he visited Blacksburg and chose the Hokies soon after.

Bell was a three-star prospect out of high school and a top-25 player in the state of Michigan. He picked Michigan State over West Virginia, where now-Tech offensive line coach Matt Moore offered him, along with Indiana and Kansas.

He's the fourth transfer portal commitment of the offseason for the Hokies. For more information on Virginia Tech's comings and goings in the portal, click here for Tech Sideline’s roster management page.
