Virginia Tech and James Franklin picked up a commitment from Penn State defensive end Daniel Jennings on Sunday.
The Princeton, W. Va., native did not play as a true freshman in 2025 and redshirted.
Originally a class of 2026 prospect, he reclassified to the 2025 class and enrolled early in Happy Valley. He was rated as a four-star talent by three of the four recruiting services, including 247Sports and On3, who both ranked him as the top player in West Virginia.
