Polydor comes from one of the top programs in the state of Maryland in St. Frances. He had been committed to Penn State since June 23. He only visited State College in the summer before committing to the Nittany Lions over Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State, South Carolina, Syracuse and West Virginia.
However, when James Franklin was fired, he opened up his recruitment while not formally decommitting. He visited Colorado on Nov. 21 before an official visit to Virginia Tech this past weekend, and he eventually picked the Hokies.
Here are his recruiting rankings:
- ESPN: Four-star, No. 33 cornerback, No. 9 player in Md.
- Rivals: Three-star, No. 51 cornerback, No. 9 player in Md.
- 247Sports: Three-star, No. 89 cornerback, No. 28 player in Md.
Two of the three recruiting services rank him amongst the top 10 players in Maryland, and ESPN gives him a four-star rating.
