Though he was committed to the Nittany Lions since June, Eziuka visited Blacksburg for the Miami game and committed to the Hokies shortly after.
A native of Novi, Mich., just northwest of Detroit, he visited Cincinnati and Stanford over the summer. He was also listed with other offers from Akron, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Kentucky, Miami (OH), Toledo, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Western Michigan.
Here’s how the recruiting services classify Eziuka:
- ESPN: Four-star, No. 6 in Michigan, No. 13 IOL, No. 300 nationally
- 247Sports: Three-star, No. 10 in Michigan, No. 40 IOL
- Rivals: Three-star, No. 19 in Michigan, No. 79 IOL
Eziuka is a multi-sport athlete who competes in track & field and also helped the Shamrocks multiple back-to-back state championships in wrestling.
He’s the newest piece of what is expected to be a large offensive line recruiting class at Virginia Tech, which includes Buddy Wegdam, Tyrell Simpson, Roseby Lubintus, Marlen Bright, Maddox Cochrane and Thomas Wilder.
