Andrew Rogers
Defensive End, Class of 2026
Grimsley High School, Greensboro, N.C.
6-6, 240

Virginia Tech picked up a commitment from 2026 edge Andrew Rogers (Greensboro, N.C.) on Friday. The Grimsley High School product recently reclassified into the 2026 recruiting class from 2027, and he is the third defensive end commitment for this class, joining Kamren Johnson and Kamdon Gillespie.

Rogers was listed with scholarship offers from Florida State, Tennessee, Arkansas, Auburn and a whole host of other major programs. Tennessee appears to be the primary competition, and a report from On3 indicates that he still plans to take an official visit to Knoxville.

As a very recent reclassifier, you can expect his recruiting ranking to change between now and Signing Day. As of now, he’s listed as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, who ranks him as the No. 22 player in North Carolina. On3 ranks him as a four-star prospect and the No. 17 player  in the Tar Heel State.

ESPN also gives Rogers a four-star ranking and list him as the No. 14 player in North Carolina.
