Cameren Fleming, who spent two years bouncing around positions in the Hokies' back seven, announced Monday that he's entered the transfer portal.

The 6-foot, 202-pound redshirt sophomore played in four games over two years at Virginia Tech, making two tackles.

A three-star safety signee in 2023 from Richmond who played at Trinity Episcopal School, Fleming got looks at cornerback, safety, star linebacker and inside linebacker during his time in Blacksburg.

He played 11 defensive snaps at Stanford last fall, when he made both of his career tackles.

Fleming has three years of eligibility remaining. He's the seventh player to enter the portal in the spring window, joining quarterback Davi Belfort, offensive linemen Caleb Nitta and Web Davidson, defensive lineman Jorden McDonald, linebacker Jayden McDonald and defensive back Braylon Johnson.

Players have until Friday to enter the spring portal.
