Virginia Tech and Brent Pry added to their 2026 class on Monday with the commitment of King's Fork linebacker Joshua Pittman.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder chose the Hokies over Duke, East Carolina, Indiana, James Madison, Liberty, Michigan State, North Carolina, Old Dominion, Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, Wake Forest and West Virginia, among others. He was in Blacksburg in late March and is expected to take his official visit to Tech later this summer. He also had unofficial visits to East Lansing, Chapel Hill and Winston-Salem this spring.

Pittman is not ranked by 247Sports and ESPN but is a three-star prospect by On3 and Rivals. The former lists him as the No. 15 prospect in Virginia while the latter has him at No. 13.

The Suffolk native, who had 10 sacks last fall, is the third pledge in Tech's 2026 class and the first from the Commonwealth of Virginia. He joins four-star wide receiver Carnell Warren, who committed on Jan. 2 during the Under Armour All-American Game, and kicker Will Love, the younger brother of current Hokies kicker John Love who committed on Sunday, April 13.

The Hokies were Pittman's first-ever offer back in September 2023. He was a third-team All-Tidewater Team pick by The Virginian-Pilot in 2023. He's the next wave of a 757 pipeline that sent six guys to Blacksburg in the last two recruiting classes: Keylen Adams (WR), Jayden Anderson (WR), Zeke Chinwike (DE), Jahmari DeLoatch (CB), Knahlij Harrell (CB) and Gerard Johnson (DE).
