Last December’s transfer portal action was a net positive for Virginia Tech Football. A year ago, the Hokies landed a number of big prospects out of the portal: Aeneas Peebles, Sam Brumfield, Kemari Copeland, and Kelvin Gilliam, to name a few.

More importantly, the Hokies lost just two key players to the transfer portal last December – tight end Dae’Quan Wright and defensive back Derrick Canteen. Otherwise, Virginia Tech kept its roster intact, holding on to rising stars like Kyron Drones, Mansoor Delane, Dorian Strong, Antwaun Powell-Ryland, Xavier Chaplin, Bhayshul Tuten, and more.

One big reason the late 2023 portal cycle went so well was the fans’ support of NIL, particularly The Hokie Way’s “Stone-by-Stone” campaign, which raised over $700,000 in just one month.

The 2024 edition of the “Stone-by-Stone” campaign is here, and fan support of the fundraising drive is critical to the success of Virginia Tech Football (and Hokie athletics in general), as well as the nonprofit organizations that The Hokie Way supports (such as the American Heart Association, Feeding Southwest Virginia, and The Life Ring Foundation).

And your donation is tax-deductible.

This year, the first $200,000 donated by fans will be matched by generous donors, so please do your part to help support Virginia Tech NIL and local non-profits. You can donate to the campaign using the form below, which tracks number of donors and total donations.
