A transfer addition from last spring is already on his way out of Blacksburg.
Defensive tackle Khurtiss Perry intends to enter the transfer portal, according to a report citing his agents (which Perry himself later tagged on social media). The 6-foot-2, 280-pound redshirt sophomore played in one game last year (Stanford) and did not record any stats.

Perry is a former top-100 recruit who originally went to Alabama but transferred to Virginia Tech last spring. Tech added the lineman hoping to transition him from end to tackle, with an eye on a bigger role in 2025.
He never got on the field, though, and D-line coach J.C. Price's curt response to a question about him late in the season suggests Perry wasn't working in Blacksburg.

Perry's the third player bound for the portal from the defensive line this cycle, joining Malachi Madison and Ishmael Findlayter.
On the interior, Tech still has Kelvin Gilliam and an injured Kemari Copeland returning, with freshmen Emmett Laws, Gerard Johnson and Andrew Hanchuk, who all redshirted, coming up the ranks. Christian Evans is expected to sign Wednesday, though the Hokies surely will make defensive tackle a priority position again during this transfer cycle.
