Another Hokies defensive lineman announced his plans to enter the transfer portal: Ishmael Findlayter.
A 6-foot-4, 260-pound redshirt freshman from Toronto, Findlayter played in two career games, both in 2023, finishing with two tackles and getting in on a half sack.

Findlayter, who played both end and tackle at Tech, joins defensive tackle Malachi Madison in planning to go into the portal, which officially opens Dec. 9.
He'll have three years of eligibility remaining.
