After years of rumors, teasing and hope, Metallica is finally coming to Blacksburg.

The iconic metal band will perform in Lane Stadium on May 7, 2025, as part of their M72 World Tour, at last coming to the venue that's used its hit "Enter Sandman" as the entrance for its football team for over two decades.

The band will be joined by Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies, Virginia Tech announced Thursday.

Tickets will be available starting Sept. 23 through a series of special presale windows. There's a four-ticket limit per person. Virginia Tech students have a two-ticket limit per person. 

General public tickets go on sale Sept. 27.

The Hokies and Metallica may have foreshadowed the upcoming concert with a collaboration to sell merchandise in August.
