Virginia Tech received a commitment from Zeke Chinwike on Monday.

The 6-foot-6, 240-pound defensive end from Virginia Beach is the 10th commitment in the Hokies’ 2025 class. He’s one of seven pledges from the Commonwealth of Virginia and is the third from Green Run High School, joining teammates Jayden Anderson (wide receiver) and Knahlij Harrell (cornerback).
Chinwike is a three-star prospect who is the No. 41 overall player in Virginia, according to 247Sports. His lone official visit was to Blacksburg, and he committed to the Hokies soon after. He had a final five schools of UConn, East Carolina, James Madison, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. His other offers included Charlotte, Kent State and Marshall.
With Chinwike’s commitment, Tech’s added four Green Run players in the last two recruiting cycles. Keylen Adams, a four-star wide receiver and top-five player in the state in the 2024 class, chose the Hokies over Alabama and others.
Of the 10 Virginia Tech commits, Chinwike is the sixth on the defensive side of the ball and the second on the defensive line, joining tackle Christian Evans. An Ashburn, Va., native, Evans picked Tech over North Carolina, Penn State, Virginia and others on June 20.
