On Friday, the ACC announced Virginia Tech men's basketball's game vs. Pitt, originally scheduled for Jan. 1, has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 7.
The game was postponed because of COVID-19 issues within the Hokies program. The new date means the Hokies and Panthers will square off twice in the span of three days. Tech plays in Pittsburgh on Saturday, Feb. 5, and Pitt will venture to Blacksburg two days later.
Mike Young & Co. were scheduled to have that week off, so the timing works out well. The rescheduled game falls before the Hokies host Syracuse on Saturday, Feb. 12, and it'll be the first of four straight home contests in the month of February. Virginia (Monday, Feb. 14) and North Carolina (Saturday, Feb. 19) are the two games at the end of that stretch.
From Virginia Tech's release, which is embedded below, "tickets purchased/allocated for the previous Jan. 1 sellout vs. Pitt will be honored at the Feb. 7 rescheduled game."
