Lynn Kidd

Virginia Tech men’s basketball picked up a commitment from Clemson transfer Lynn Kidd, a 6-10, 235-lbs post player.

Kidd was the No. 110 recruit nationally coming out of high school according to the 247 Composite rankings.  He played at IMG Academy in Florida, and he chose the Tigers over offers from Alabama, Miami, Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, and others.  He is also listed with an offer from Virginia Tech out of high school.

Kidd was originally a member of the 2021 recruiting class, but he reclassified to 2020 upon his commitment to Clemson.  He played in a total of seven games for the Tigers as a true freshman, scoring eight points.  Since last season didn't count towards players' eligibility, Kidd will be a true freshman for the Hokies in 2021-22.
