Virginia Tech got good news on Sunday afternoon when it was announced that senior point guard Justin Robinson has been cleared to play in the NCAA Tournament.

Robinson, Virginia Tech’s all-time leader in assists, has not played since a January 30 win at Miami. He injured his foot in that game, and the Hokies went 7-5 with him absent from the lineup. He is averaging 13.7 points per game this season, while shooting 41.1% from three-point range.
Most bracketologists still have Virginia Tech listed as a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi bumped the Hokies up to a No. 4 seed on Saturday night, which could be a sign that the Selection Committee has decided to take Robinson’s injury into account when seeding Virginia Tech.
