Hooker originally decided to transfer from Virginia Tech after it appeared that he would be stuck behind Ryan Willis and Quincy Patterson, but has since had a change of heart.  He apologized to his teammates in his statement.

“I regret the time that I’ve missed with my teammates in preparation for spring ball," Hooker said.  "I apologize to them and my coaches if I appeared to have a lack of commitment in what we’re trying to achieve here at Hokie Nation.”

Hooker is expected to rejoined Tech’s offseason workouts immediately and be with the team with spring practice begins on March 3.
