Virginia Tech signed 19 players to letters of intent on Wednesday. A few more players could sign in February, but for the most part the 2019 recruiting class is complete.

One of Tech's verbal commitments, athlete Jahad Carter of Henrico High School near Richmond, did not sign on Wednesday. He is still committed to the Hokies, but per the Richmond Times-Dispacth, he has an academic situation and will not sign with anyone until February.
The Hokies also picked up a Signing Day commitment from CB Brion Murray.
Virginia Tech signed at least one player at every position, with the exception of quarterback and defensive end. However, it’s possible that JUCO prospect Amare Barno (6-6, 225) could play defensive end. Justin Fuente and Bud Foster both said on Wednesday that they do not know yet where Barno will factor in.
Per the 247Sports Composite rating, Virginia Tech signed the No. 4 class in the ACC, as per the time of this writing. Here is a look at how the ACC shakes out, with the national ranking on the left.
