Media covering the ACC have submitted their 2017 ACC football preseason predictions, and they have picked Virginia Tech to finish second in the Coastal Division. Miami is predicted to win the Coastal, while Florida State is tabbed to win the Atlantic Division and the ACC Championship.
In total, 167 ballots were cast, and 103 (61.7 percent) picked Miami to win the division, while 40 (23.9 percent) picked Virginia Tech to win the division. All other teams in the Coastal received at least four championship votes, except Virginia, the fourth year in a row that Virginia is the only Coastal team without a single division championship vote.
This is the fourth time Miami has been picked to win the division in 13 years of divisional play. (The ACC didn't have divisions in 2004.) Virginia Tech has been picked to win the Coastal seven times in that time span. The other two picks have gone to Georgia Tech (2015) and North Carolina (2016).

Virginia Tech has won six Coastal Division titles, Georgia Tech has won four, North Carolina and Duke have won it once each, and Miami has never won it.
Over in the Atlantic Division, Florida State was picked as the winner in a runaway vote over Clemson (121 to 37), while Louisville also received votes (9) to win the division.
