Virginia Tech men's basketball added a third member of their Class of 2017 over the weekend with the commitment of PJ Horne.
Horne is 6-foot-6, 230-pound forward from Tifton, GA. Horne is rated as a 2-star prospect by Verbal Commits and his only other scholarship offers are from Murray State and Alcorn State.
Horne will provide depth in the frontcourt for the Hokies. Virginia Tech will lose Zach LeDay and Johnny Hamilton after this season up front, but will get Kerry Blackshear back from injury and Nick Fullard will be eligible. Freshman center Khadim Sy will also be back next season.
The Hokies' other two Class of 2017 members are both perimeter players. Guards Wabissa Bede and Nickeil Alexander-Walker will both join Virginia Tech next season and will see the floor in their freshmen seasons. Bede is a 4-star prospect and Alexander-Walker is a 5-star prospect, according to ESPN.
