Virginia Tech hosted around 20 basketball prospects for last weekend's football game with Boston College. Three have already committed to Virginia Tech, as VTZone.com first reported this morning.
All three prospects are 2019 recruits from the state of North Carolina, and two of them are twins.
F BJ Mack (6-7, 250): Mack attends Charlotte Catholic in Charlotte, and he also had an early offer from Georgia. He is ranked the #117 player in the early 247Sports Composite ratings.
G Kobe Langley (6-1, 150) and G Keyshaun Langley (6-0, 140): The Langley twins are from Southwest Guilford High School in High Point, NC. They are ranked #112 and #116 in the country by 247Sports, respectively.
All three of those prospects would sign with the Hokies in November of 2018, though obviously there is a long way to go in their recruitment.
2017 commitment Nickeil Alexander-Walker is visiting for the East Carolina game. ESPN ranks him the #29 prospect in the 2017 class, and he's #39 overall according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Also visiting is 2017 Cushing, MA guard Wabissa Bede (6-1, 180). He is ranked the #72 overall prospect in the Composite rankings, and he is considered a heavy Tech lean.
