It's July 27, 2016, and Virginia Tech already has a commitment from a rising high school sophomore.
Tayvion Land, a defensive back from Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School in Virginia Beach, VA. announced on Twitter that he is committing to Virginia Tech.
Land is the first Class of 2019 commitment for Virginia Tech.
Land's only other scholarship offer at this point is from Maryland. At this point, it wouldn't surprise anyone if Land ends up with a bunch of offers.
The 5-foot-8, 160-pound Land is unranked by 247Sports.
