Alcoa captured its fifth consecutive Class 2A state championship in 2008 and is looking for six in a row in 2009. Robinson plays tight end and defensive end for Coach Rankin. As a junior in 2008, he hauled in 39 passes for 565 yards and 17 touchdowns and totaled 93 tackles and 10 sacks. He was named the Class 2A Mr. Football lineman for his junior year performance.
