Garbutt is a 4-star recruit based on the 247Sports Composite. He’s rated as the ninth-best player in the state of Virginia and the 12th-best athlete in the Class of 2017. Garbutt was recruited by Virginia Tech to play defensive end but there is a chance due to his offensive skill, he could play receiver.
