Selected to the 2010 Chesapeake Bowl. As a senior, Branthover booted seven field goals including a long of 49 yards. He had a long punt of 72 yards as well in 2010. Branthover connected on 57 of 58 extra points and 7 of 8 field goals his junior season. 85-percent of his kick-offs went for touchbacks. Head coach Bill McGregor: "Michael is absolutely outstanding. He was a 4-year starter. I don't think he could have kicked any better than he did. He is one of the top kickers I've ever had. He is one of the best, if not the best."
