He played tight end on offense and defensive end on defense, earning Group A coaches second-team All-State honors for both positions.<br /> <br /> Coach Will Fields: “John’s 6-6, 240 pounds. He runs a 4.75 40…at least that’s the time he ran during last year’s camp at UNC. That’s the last time I have on him. What stands out about him is that he catches the ball real well, and he can catch it in traffic. He just has great hands and is really great at focusing on the ball.”
