Askew racked up 126 tackles including 25 tackles-for-loss and 13 sacks this past season as a junior.<br /> <br /> Head coach Rich Morgan: "Jerod is our middle linebacker. He has tremendous instincts. He flies to the ball and he plays at full speed the entire game. The area he has improved in the most is with his pass coverage skills. As a sophomore he would just run and tackle everybody, but he had three or four interceptions this year. He had a better understanding for the game. He is 6-0, 215 pounds, and he is fast and plays with a lot of aggression."
