As a junior this past season at Christchurch, Walker racked up close to 50 catches for 733 yards and eight touchdowns at wide receiver. Defensively, he made eight interceptions from the cornerback position. He earned first-team all-state honors on both sides of the ball. <br /> <br /> Walker played quarterback for Asheville School in 2005 as a sophomore. He transferred to Christchurch before his junior year.<br /> <br /> “I played quarterback last year,” Walker said. “We threw the ball about 50-percent of the time. I threw for 1800 yards and 21 touchdowns.”<br /> <br /> An excellent athlete, Walker averaged 20 points per game for the Asheville School basketball team and won the NCISAA 3-A track and field championship in the triple jump with an area-best mark of 45 feet, 3 ½ inches. <br />
