Hi Andy - great article as always. Regarding the rankings and the movement of them I remember the Hokies started at #14 but there was one pollster who ranked them #1. He justified it by saying he didn’t necessarily think they were the best team at the beginning of the season but they were going to be the best in the end. Too bad we had to play the 4th quarter.

I think a great amendment to the college sports bill would be to allow the player to transfer once and not have to sit, but the 2nd transfer, one year sit.

Thanks Andy! I feel like I'm ripping off TSL. "Ten things", but more like 30 things. Value for your $$$!

For a northern ocean village, Boston isn't a bad town. Not New York, but what is?

Thanks for sharing the Verlander farewell. I'm a lifelong Yankee fan, but even a member of the Evil Empire fan club is moved by that.

Speaking of writers who don't hate your team. Was Bill Brill an AP voter?

Had stuff indented before. Not sure what happened to the formatting. Hopefully it's clearer now.

Speaking of Boston, this short video about Tom Brady’s wicked Boston accent might be worth watching https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=q2CA0_UE4yU&ra=m

Jeez, Andy you haven’t even scratched the surface of the best parts of the greater Boston area. Try the Old North Bridge in Concord to see the site of the ‘shot heard round the world.’ You can also check out Louisa May Alcott’s childhood home just up the hill. And Concord is ground zero for antiquing. Then maybe Walden Pond where you can leave your thoughts inscripted on a stone at the famous Cairn. Then check out the Museum of Fine Arts. ‘The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit’ is a spellbinding painting. Top it all off with a visit to John Adams house. See the Stone Library, the Mendi Bible and Abigail’s upside down horseshoe.

Man Andy might be facing the Will banhammer for this article. Loving him some Bahston and delving into politics 😳 Lemme get my popcorn and see how this plays out 🤣

They need to carefully consider whether that USC announcers should have his contract renewed. Just saying!

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Scherzer’s reaction was orchestrated. He never planned to remove him in the 7th, and allowed Max to defend his mound one more time.

I just notice you did say he “mockingly” argued, so please ignore me

@andybitter RIP to Dennis Haskins indeed. One of my fondest memories was hosting the VCU/Charles Barkley celebrity golf tourney in Richmond and singing along to the jukebox at Buddy’s bar with Stuart Scott, Rich Eisen and Dennis Haskins. Three great guys to hang out with at Buddy’s in the Fan with Charles buying the whole place Miller Lites
