Kinda disagree with the idea that Hokies can’t impose their will on a short to intermediate passing game in a windy/ rainy condition. The QB/ Receiver route concept has the known route at advantage over the DBs. Wind has got to be over 35 mph to affect that. A few good passes sets up running game big time. Short yardage going for it over kicking field goals is another discussion. Could shorten field risk vs reward on those decisions. Get ahead coaching can control the shots. Don’t chicken out on passing game.

An inch of rain in the coastal NE is a big deal. Down here on the Gulf it’s a normal Summer rainstorm 😉. My little daughter and I sat through the most rain ever recorded at Doak Cambell Stadium about 40 years ago FSU vs. UF night game. Water was flowing down the stadium steps in torrents. The players were on natural turf crowned in middle and as they ran toward sidelines water was over their shoes! We stayed for the entire slobberknocker close game- Sammy Smith the Apopka flash ran the ball around 35 times for almost 200 yards. About 4-5” of rain fell in area during game.

I remember when the ruminants of a hurricane came through Tech. uva and W & M had a ball saying the hurricane applied to all schools, but it could only get into Tech. I had to give them a tip of the hat. Good rivalry humor. I could laugh because Tech owned uva in football.

This will be a big game for CBP… don’t want to see their QB running wild in good or bad weather

While the most recent bad weather game is unc, I go back to the 09 Miami game. Ryan Williams took his gloves off, and the oline imposed their will on Miami. Line and backs should love these types of games. I know I did. Time to get down and dirty! Embrace the conditions

WET game, get the ball, run the ball, run the ball. Make it a short game, run the ball, keep it in bounds and dominate the time of possession. GO HOKIES beat bc!!!
