   CC, nice comment on Beamer's coaching staff and player development. We played better in NOV than we did in SEPT under Beamer's gang. Hope that is the case under CJF. "We will see."

   Those spaces under the east and west stands that were used in the past were atrociously small. Visiting coaches hated the locker room under the east stands. I have a very vivid memory of covering Beamer’s first game as head coach on a sloppy day in Blacksburg and starting to go into the east locker room to interview Clemson players after hearing from Danny Ford. I just remember looking in the door and Michael Dean Perry (the Fridge’s brother) was sitting in the middle of the room, wearing little more than a smile, seemingly like he took up the whole space, and thinking “ya know, I don’t think it’s a good idea to go in there.”

   Chris, great information on the 2018 squad. Never had any idea there was such a lack of talent on that team. The 'after they left VT' adds incredible detail.

   I had no idea that our defensive talent was so lackluster on that 2018 squad. No amount of "coaching them up" was going to make any difference with those players.

   My next door neighbor is a PSU grad and he keeps saying that Franklin doesn't do any coaching in game, that he lets his coordinators take over. I haven't seen that yet and I obviously saw that CJF was getting up in Terry's face when he was called for that PF and ejected. The cameras have also caught him getting on the OL for that FG attempt after starting at the 1 yd line. Time will tell.

      He is one of the most engaged HC on the sidelines i have ever seen. He appears to be as engaged in the details as a coordinator would. I spoke with Coach BF and he agreed.

      Ur neighbor may be right about his days at PSU. Smart managers break down hits and misses as they move through a career. Maybe Franklin saw the need to be the Co-OC at VT as well as having more game time involvement across the other squads.

   Think walking back and forth to Merryman for halftime is a good example of how previous coaching staffs made things harder for themselves for no reason

   Couldn't think of a good question before, but now I have one, and maybe a better one to consider after we see what happens at Maryland. What do you think is more important right now to this offensive line's continued development - reps in the weight room or reps on the field?
