Really enjoyed meeting you at the tailgate this weekend! I hope you shared with Andy that you have groupies too! Proud to be one of the 4%! Go Hokies!!

Has it been 3 and a half years Andy? I was one of those that dropped the Athletic and picked up TSL. Followed Andy from the Roanoke Times to the Athletic to here. And in the end, found a host of other writers I enjoy reading. I appreciate you guys! Go HOKIES!

I don't have the tenure of many of the commenters - I originally joined for the series on the history of Tech Football (still great, could be refreshed with more recent years? BTW - a great addition to the site would be making the article Archives searchable). I left for a couple years, mainly because I only interested in football content and my interest was waning (because of the team, not TSL's efforts). But, I was one of those that signed up when Andy was hired and don't see membership ending for years - enjoy much more content than football now (WBB, Softball and Wrestling).

Will, like many others I have also been around since the Hokie Central days. I marvel at how you have grown the business into what it is today. Even though you were working through some tough times regarding the website, as a user I was only frustrated a handful of times, so kudos to you and the staff for keeping it glued together. Looking forward to see where this goes in the future.

Mid 50s now and my interest in Hokie sports was fervid in the 90s and 00s. I was an early 1997 subscriber to HC (and have a hat to prove it). My interest in Hokie sports waned through the 10s and hit rock bottom these last 5 years. Save the ACCT hoops run and Kitley/Amore WBB seasons, pretty much nothing to cheer about in a LONG time. We cancelled our season tix and dropped way down on HC donations in the past few years. I still don't like the NIL era of college sports, but it's here and we have to work within it. I am finally starting to see signs of life and hope we're entering a new golden era. I've been a HC/TSL subscriber since 1997, and plan to keep supporting for many years to come. Keep up the great work.

I've been with Techsideline since 1999 (Remember Hokie Central). I must admit that I lost a bit of interest over the past few years and rarely logged back in. I always thought the content was great-and Will, you always did a great job. I am re-energized and back to checking in daily. Looking forward to an exciting season and interesting articles.

Will, thank you. What I like most about the site neither the staff, nor you are "Homers." You all call it like it is: Good-Bad & Super Ugly. GO HOKIES!!!!!!!!!

Will, In particular, I am really keen on TSL's "talking with the experts" tactics. The Bud Foster and David Teel podcasts are terrific. They made or chronicled VT's past and now are bringing unique perspectives to what is possible in the future.

One business note - Someone, likely Will, mentioned the importance of the written / subscription platform as what supports the podcast and is the primary source revenue for Tech Sideline. That likely helped subscriptions recently. It is worthwhile to target mentioning that once a month, especially if/when it can come from Will. Recap, Talking with Teel, and Game Preview is a heck of a weekly podcast lineup during the season! Or we can just credit Andy for dropping the wide ranging a 10 things content weekly.

#249 isn't too bad for me basically throwing darts at the board. Still being a little bit of a pessimist - but not all the time - I figured VT would underperform the 63 points or whatever it was and probably went down the list w/that attitude, can't even remember what the question were now but maybe semi-guessed right that everyone wasn't going to play 3rd QBs and all that... ...anyway, always thought you guys do a great job and good to hear the software upgrade was a success. It may have been junk ten years ago but longer to figure out exactly what format the software should eventually look like. Sorry about my minions destroying the threaded sites or whatever it was called. Always though they were like Turkish bathhouse you go into a room w/two or three other people...always like the everyone sees everything approach. Credit for even holding the old stuff together as long as you did, sometimes you get stored procedures and triggers that hide the logic of a database and then you create more to fix that logic and it becomes unfixable. Happy you got to clean-sheet land.

I have also been here since the Hokie Central days... the crashes the last 2 years were quite frustrating, but so far the new site is a dream! Also... How did I not know you owned The Sabre?!?!??!

Will, as someone who has been here from the beginning, I want to say that I never thought of the TSL website as a bunch of junk or crap. You have been through SO many growing pains, but your baby has turned out to be VERY HANDSOME!!! Congratulations!!!

I remember the Hokie Central days and how much my Dad loved your coverage. He got me hooked as a teenager! You’ve come a long way, by doing things the right way. Thankful for TSL!

To think this all started in the basement of a duplex in Christiansburg! So excited for what’s to come for TSL and VT Athletics! Jo “HokieJo93” Casto #MV4LF

New subscribers here, with one month under my belt. I've been blown away with the QUALITY and QUANTITY of the articles. TSL has become a must read for me. Thanks for being there.

I got my sister to subscribe yesterday and on Saturday I encouraged a student to sign up. I think though that it was more the program direction than my encouragement that got my sister on board.

Tremendous article. And, yes, it seems almost unreal the difference between last year and this one.

Thanks, King, and ... I don't like to think about it, honestly.
