   Another choreographed event to show the public what the BoV wants them to see. The questions still remain: How much money is available for athletics (especially football)?, Is the finding sustainable?, How will the new athletic oversight structure operate?, Who really has the power in the athletic department?, Will NIL continue to be external to the athletic department?, plus many other fundamental issues. If the Hokies win 10 games no one will care, but if the performance isn’t up to expectations there will issues.

   I have to think that if VT strays from simply a better deal with Nike and chooses a competitor, the merch revenue will reflect that in a way that the school won't like. Who gets excited to see what shoe Under Armour has coming out or Adidas??? No one.
