The injury scare is in the past, but the close call still makes Brent Pry shiver, so much so that when a reporter prefaced a question at Sunday’s football media day at Virginia Tech with, “You get Jaquez White back,” the Hokies defensive coordinator couldn’t help but interject.

I'm going to use this article to offer constructive criticism. Will briefly posted about a week ago introducing us to the new format for TSL, which seems great & rather seamless in transition. HOWEVER, I noted that the new format repeated (for me) an 'illness' of the old format, i.e., the insertion of sponsor material into the middle of an article without clear demarcations. The first recognition in this article of proud sponsor LUNCH PAIL VENTURES is a good example of my point where I had to re-read to pick up the article. There are various ways to deal with this, perhaps even having the sponsor material in a bold box just like here, i.e., to Leave a Comment.

  It's on the list to set off the sponsor promos more clearly. LOTS of little things (and some big things) are being worked on on an ongoing basis.

Ive never heard of two torn knee ligaments "healing" in 3 mos (since spring game injury). Hope I am wrong and this is a miracle, but sounds like disaster imminent or at best, he's much slower on breaks/closing on receivers than the guy from Troy last year.

My knee surgeon said there is no such thing as partially torn tendon. I know MCL can heal on its own. Can an ACL? I didn’t think so.

  Some quick research tells me that ACL tears cannot heal on their own due to a lack of adequate blood supply. Rehab can, however, strengthen the muscles around the joint to provide additional stability in an attempt to compensate for the partial ACL tear. Time will tell whether he can get back to anything near peak performance.

    Sounds like a football decision...probably should have had surgery but that would have been season ending.
