Jaquez White garnered plenty of praise at cornerback for the Hokies this spring. Unknown and unranked coming out of high school in talent-rich Georgia, White got his collegiate start at Division II Washburn University. After two seasons in Topeka, he made a move to Troy and the Sunbelt, where he was a starter who earned second-team all-conference honors before transferring to Virginia Tech.
