Let’s take up “route trees” as our first chalk talk 2026. Over the years route trees have gotten talked about a bit on the boards in relation to offensive struggles, but I don’t think the trees themselves have ever really been explained.

Conventionally, a route tree was a diagram used to teach receivers all the possible routes they’d run. Here’s a basic one in all its glory:
