Fran Brown made the rare leap from position coach to head coach, as he’s gone from DB coach at Georgia to the big whistle at Syracuse. He was Co-DC for one year at Temple, which is his highest title at any level. The Orange was riding high, with close wins over NC State and a ranked UNLV team, though a thumping at Pitt last week brought them down to earth.
