Thanks for your work, Chris! I am class of '94 and live in Houston, TX and love to read up on the Hokies. Hoping for a vastly improved OL and DEs this Fall.

No Spring ball injuries first and foremost!

Two things about the flexibility comment: - Bowen didn't seem very "flexible" until Pry started challenging him to adjust his vanilla offense, - Perhaps Randolph thought Bowen was stupid and in over his head?

Like the word flexibility.... After sharing the moorhead RPO commentary, it hit me very well about the need for the line to be flexible to rapidly changing situations. Back at Wisconsin they were known to be frankly neanderthal in offense but very physical and very predictable. Certainly not a RPO scheme.

Nailed it Glenn did not relate as well to today's college kid/QB who wants to know why. Bowen wanted to be closer to QBs on day to day basis. Hence, Glenn out great MD recruiter in and position coach shuffle. Rudolph was great coach but perhaps not as flexible as Bowen would have liked, not surprising given his narrow exposure to just the Wisconsin Way and WI way transported to Pitt. Overall Offensive staff upgraded from recruiting, fit and flexibility point of view. Optics look like a downgrade, look deeper and it is anything but!

Bowen also said something about his assuming the QB coach role -- how he'd be able to convey the "why" of what they were doing, which he thought they could do a better job with. Like the comment about flexibility, it sounded like a (possible) reference to the previous coach at that position.
