Hokies tight end Luke Reynolds and defensive end Mylachi Williams were named ACC Players of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.

Reynolds hauled in eight passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns — second-quarter scores of 10 and 16 yards — as Virginia Tech beat Old Dominion 44-21 on Saturday. It was the first 100-yard receiving game from a Hokies tight end since James Mitchell had 103 at North Carolina in 2020.

He's also the program's first-ever tight end named ACC Player of the Week after being voted the league's top offensive receiver in Week 2. Through two games, he leads Tech in receptions (13), receiving yards (158) and receiving touchdowns (3).

Williams was a disruptive force against the Monarchs, racking up 3.5 tackles for loss — which included two sacks — and forcing two fumbles. He paced a defense that finished with 14 TFLs, seven sacks and four forced fumbles on the day.

Since 1987, he's the fifth player in Virginia Tech history with at least two sacks and two forced fumbles in a game. Here is the list:

• Mylachi Williams in 2025 vs. Old Dominion
• Antwaun Powell-Ryland in 2024 at Old Dominion
• Steven Friday in 2010 at Boston College
• Cody Grimm in 2009 vs. NC State
• Brandon Semones in 1994 vs. Pitt

Williams currently leads the Hokies or is tied for the team lead in tackles (7), tackles for loss (6), sacks (3) and forced fumbles (2).

Tech (2-0) travels to Maryland on Saturday for its first road game of the season (7:30 p.m. ET, FS1).
