I'm a Hokie 100 % of the time. Win or lose. Even losses we shouldn't have had. Am I disappointed? Yes. All is not lost, at least not yet. Coach Pry admitted his mistakes in the game. Some players need to step it up too. T-Bo? Yeah, I still have questions about him. It would be crazy if VT fired the coaches every time they lost a game as it seems many of the haters call for. Most people I know, including myself, make mistakes and have bad days. Own it and move on. GO HOKIES!!!!!!!

Random thoughts...we are going to the Marshall game, driving up from Cary, NC. I'm 70 and my wife will be in October. Not sure how much longer I will make the effort. I have seen the ups and mostly downs of Hokie football, following them since I was old enough to remember. I have absolutely NO confidence in this team or its coaches. Yes, I drank some of the Kool Aid, but I was very nervous going into the Vanderbilt game. When VT started the way it did, I had that sinking feeling. It is hard to win against most teams if you spot them 17 points. Until VT shows me something different, I seriously doubt that we can better our record from last year. I hope they prove me wrong.

If the coaches really understood what is needed and designed a feasible plan, I do think that the players would play better. The players and their performances are, to a great degree, a reflection of the faith they have in the coaches to put them in a position to do their jobs well. Our coaches seem to have NO clue how to game plan and use the players strengths.

  I have to agree, the first half last week was a joke. Probably the 3 players sitting on the bench (on TV) at end of game were having that conversation. Been there!

    T.Bow shows flashes of brilliance but also moments that make you shake your head. He’s no Bryan Stinespring but he’s no Chip Kelly either. It’s not his fault he was given a job and not 100% ready for it, but here we are.

Any body who thinks that anything has changed with this team since three years ago are drinking some extrordinary cool aide. Pry appears to be an above average recruiter but appears to be lacking as a coach, he was suppose to be a defense guru.....we lost to the worst team in the SEC.....that says it all......0-2 again.

  BULL. What the transfer portal has done is give teams an opportunity to greatly improve from one year to the next. I believe we will see Vandy in the middle of the SEC this year. Vast improvement over last year. Hats off to the Vandy coach importing a whole new offense through the portal.

While I certainly agree that all is not lost with one loss, the level of our post-season opportunity will be driven by our record and one win can make a difference. We have set ourselves back with that loss unless we go onto win the ACC and get an automatic high level bowl bid.

My concern is the defense. Offense left a lot to be desired but 27 points should have been enough to win against vandy.

The Who: Won't Get Fooled Again....but we always do! I have no faith in this bunch after last week. Why weren't they prepared, why were you outcoached? Veteran team doesn't make those gaffes if they are well-coached. The "Who Cares Anymore" meter has gone way up for many of us who were fooled again...and again...and again. When does basketball start?

I feel like most of these questions depends more on the offensive coordinator than the player. Such as 8 carries for Tuten, and running the ball 16 times with the QB.
