Sin'Cere Jones
Forward, Class of 2025
Churchland High School, Portsmouth, Va.
6-7, 195
On Sunday, Virginia Tech and Mike Young received a commitment from Sin'Cere Jones, a forward in the class of 2025. He's the Hokies' first pledge in that class.
View tweetA 6-foot-7, 195-pound prospect from Portsmouth, Va., Jones visited Blacksburg in mid-June and committed to the Hokies a few days later. Duquesne, Mississippi State, Old Dominion and VCU were some of the other schools that offered.
Jones is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, which ranks him as the No. 13 overall prospect in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the class of 2025. The Boo Williams AAU product is listed as the No. 43 power forward in the country, too.
He's the first Tech commitment from Hampton Roads since Chris Clarke, a Virginia Beach native who played for the Hokies from 2015-18. Clarke also played for Boo Williams on the AAU circuit.
The addition of Jones gives the Hokies 10 scholarship players for the 2025-26 season and leaves them with three open scholarships. Only three players — Hysier Miller, Ben Burnham and Mylyjael Poteat — will graduate and move on after this season.
