Anson (Wadesboro, N.C.) linebacker Stephone Anthony managed to narrow his list of schools to six before preseason practice, which began on Tuesday. The 6-3, 220-pound rising senior took some time to discuss his favorites and his plans for figuring out where he will spend the next four or five years. more >>
Hermitage (Richmond, VA) linebacker Curtis Grant has traveled all over the country this year, visiting a number of schools including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, North Carolina, UCLA, USC, Virginia and Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech enters 2010 with a senior quarterback, two outstanding tailbacks, an experienced group of receivers, a solid offensive line and a defense that is still led by Bud Foster. It's expected to be a very good season, and Tech is a preseason top 10 pick by most, and a top five pick by a few. We've all got good reasons to look forward to 2010, but it's tough not to take a look even further down the road to 2011 as well. more >>
Five months remain until he officially enrolls at Virginia Tech, but Caleb Farris continues to stay busy in preparation for his arrival. In addition to a rigorous workout schedule, the former Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA) offensive lineman will be around the Virginia Tech program on a consistent basis. more >>

In 2008, we told you that Sean Glennon was set to be the first r-senior starter at quarterback for Virginia Tech since Al Clark in 1998. That didn't quite work out, as Tyrod Taylor's redshirt was pulled after the season opening loss to East Carolina. This time we can say with confidence: Taylor will be Virginia Tech's first senior starter since Bryan Randall in 2004, and just the fifth in the Beamer Bowl Era. more >>
